Ubisoft’s latest iteration of the massive “Assassin’s Creed” series, Assassin’s Creed Origins received a huge patch on the 16th of January 2018. The game hearkens back to the creation of the Assassin’s Brotherhood and was released back in October of 2017 and was released with critical acclaim for the PlayStation4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
The patch, which came in the form of a downloadable update on the 16th of January weighed in at a burly 3 Gigs for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One and 1.2 Gigs on Steam for Windows PC. The patch mostly focused on fixing the bugs that were plaguing the users but also revealed a little bit about the upcoming DLC of the game which is titled “Hidden Ones”
The patch shed a little light on the upcoming DLC which is slated for release on the 23rd of January. “Hidden Ones” will take place four years after the events of the main game and will witness the Brotherhood in a bloody clash against the Roman Empire.
The DLC will also add new legendary items that can be obtained by the player, increase the level cap to 45, a new outfit, and two new mounts among other things. The patch released on the 16th added support for the DLC in the game.
Apart from the “Hidden Ones” DLC, the patch also added various other features like altering the world map to view both the Sinai and the Valley of King areas, an entirely new world called “Incoming Threat”, and also changed the drop items in one of the game’s chests.
The patch also made balance changes to the audio levels in different areas of the game and fixed other issues within the audio and graphics department including an issue where a character would continue to talk after dying and other transitional errors that could occur when moving from indoors to outdoors.
As mentioned above, the “Hidden Ones” DLC will release on the 23rd of January for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC platforms.
