An upcoming action RPG developed by the Witcher giant’s CD Projekt RED and set in the futuristic year 2077, in the metropolitan night city of Northern California. This sci-fi thriller will contain elements of technology, advanced computer systems, and cybernetic implants, which will be combined with futuristic techno stuff and creatively thought futuristic gadgets.
The player will be engaging himself in a sort of corporate war that ignited when the government of the country collapsed and was taken over by corporations with gangs prevailing all over the country.
Here everyone will be just on their own, creating a semi war-like situation, and the player will be met with his journey in the aftermath of this corporate war.
Beautifully designed skillsets like ripping off the doors open, pulling mounted weapons off their gimbals and firing them, and other skill sets that allow players to hack into connected devices and turn the automated system into traps put this game on a unique pedestal.
Players will also be accompanied by a bilingual companion named Jackie, who looks quite badass with his mixed slangs of Spanish and English accent.
The game will surely attract all John Wick fans because you’ll also get to roam around with the rocker boy Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, Johnny, however, part of a long old cyberpunk franchise will be seen in this game as a cybernetic ghost but not as a physical being.
Exploration in this technologically crafted cyberspace will be the most exciting experience players will go through. The latest demo released by the game presents a little idea about exploration however we can always speculate the exploration to be set in a fantastical space where you can occasionally be met with warped beings disguised as astute chauffeurs or maybe some cunning bartenders.
The demo though only showed a glimpse of the world where the protagonist stepped into a pool of ice and then fades into a scientifically generated matrix-like environment. It can be expected that the protagonist will spend quite an amount of time in an alternate world.
What can we speculate from Cyberpunk’s trailer?
Cyberpunk 2077 trailers looked quite ravishing containing all things a sci-fi action RPG can be expected for. It introduces various still environment models set in the ultramodern night city of California, we saw a woman who has massacred about 10 people with blades distended from her arms after going ‘psycho’ (a term used in the game for describing a state when a humans’ augmentations overcome them, turning them into deadly killing machines and when this happens a special branch of police called ‘psycho squad’ are called to deal in the situation). Overall all three trailers released by the game have shown full-blown action, engaging combats and edging escapes.
The third trailer released recently has revealed all-new elements of this game’s engaging elements of gunplay, character creation, driving and the blood racing setting of the night city. A gameplay demo that was also released has revealed more than what people had speculated from the trailers. It showed different methods of approaching the game’s gameplay, hacking into robot beings and gaining access to different levels of security and things.
It also presented a vivid picture of combat and gunfights, where a female V was seen with bionic arms, as she swiftly frayed a turret from its stand and rained animals with bullets, additionally we saw a nanowire at work which could quietly slice through enemies. The E3 of the demo also got the awaited look of Silverhand, preferably our old Keanu Reeves, he would be seen as an adviser of the protagonist V.

Offering the facility to create their own character, there are various characters in the game having a linear story with beautifully crafted narration. The game features 8 main characters with the protagonist being V, which is a customizable gender-neutral body type and can pick between a male or a female sounding voice, it will also enable players to choose between their game paths, quest lines and each having their own life’s story.

Development
Cyberpunk 2077, is undoubtedly a masterpiece of game art coming this year, the game was conceived soon as CD Projekt Red finished ‘The Witcher 3’, with an extensive team of developers and gamers vested with the game’s responsibility. The company was granted more than 7 Million US$ by the Polish government and by October 2018, CD Projekt Red partnered with the Canadian gaming giants Digital Scapes to craft additional things required in the game.
The game essentially takes inspiration from the 1982 sci-fi film Blade Runner, manga series Ghost in the shell and the 1994 video game System Shock. Developers have also put special emphasis on their game’s soundtrack and thus claim the game’s soundtrack being quite exotic, realistic and immersing. Artists like Gazelle twin, Tina Guo, and Richard Devine (who are their own game musicians) were given the responsibility for this intensive task. Its theme songs like ‘Chippin’ in’, ‘Bullets’ and ‘Spoiler’ are all previously released songs adapted in the game, and now are all set to create the atmosphere of the game livelier.
Chippin’ in, a song is sung by hardcore punk Swedish band ‘Refused’, a band with its songs being mainly symbolizing resistance and leaning politically far-left in nature.
With the game’s ear-soothing soundtrack it only remains to experience the game in our hands and the excitement is just uncontrollable.

Cyberpunk 2077 recently came under the strong vigil of feminists when one of its transgender photos and its instances showing nudity created a negative buzz in the gaming industry. Anita Sarkeesian, one of the well-known feminist gamer also tweeted about both things, sarcastically condemning it and called the things as ‘sexist representations’, eventually offering ‘consultation’ in making feminine friendly content for the gaming giant CD Projekt Red.
The gamers responding to the tweet got divided with some supporting Anita while majority slamming her to stay away from Projekt Red, as she would ruin the game as she did with Bioware. The company hasn’t still responded to her tweet and it is highly unlikely that it is ever going to let her test the ‘amount’ of feminism in their games.
