Donkey Kong Country: Tropical freeze, the platformer game released exclusively to Wii U in the year 2014, is now being re-released on Nintendo Switch announced recently by Nintendo. The announcement was made during the surprise Nintendo Direct event. The port will be including a new mode when the game makes a launch on Nintendo’s hybrid console on the 4th of May this year.
The whole game is going to be playable in local co-op, having one Joy-Con each. With all the fun and challenges of the original title, the re-released version will include a new “beginner- friendly” mode which will serve the character of Funky Kong as the protagonist. The new mode is added to teach the players the mechanics of the game, and get familiar with the gameplay. Funky Kong will be able to do different types of actions such as, double jump, hover, infinite number of rolls and also perform underwater corkscrews. Even while facing challenges, his skateboard saves him from spikes along the way. Funky Kong could help you out throughout the game at many different levels.
Though the information about the re-release is quite less, we are expecting the re-release to be as good as the original game, that came out 4 years ago and gain some more popularity. If you’re unaware of the game, the game continues to have a side scrolling platform gameplay and the original game storyline, where Donkey Kong and his friends travel through six different islands in order to defeat the Snowmads.
If you love challenges this is the game for you, as the game is full of challenges and with every next level the difficulty of the challenges also keeps increasing. The game is full of addictive soundtracks and pushing boss fights. So, if you have missed the opportunity to experience the game before, on Wii U, here’s your chance to grab a copy for Nintendo Switch on 4th of May.
