Fans of NetherRealm Studios’ Injustice 2 (a fighting game published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment which was developed on the Unreal Engine 3) have been awaiting the release of new characters since the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reveal trailer dropped on YouTube back in November 2017. The trailer showcased three new playable characters: Atom, The Enchantress and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and can be seen below.
While Atom was released in the game last month, Enchantress should be available to play for a few players in the upcoming few days. It also comes as no surprise that the developers of Injustice 2 are saving the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for last. If the release schedule is to be believed, players can expect them to release sometime next month.
Now that all the details are out of the way, let’s come to the point: The Enchantress.
Injustice’s official YouTube account published a video a few days back that showcases the Enchantress in all her ghastly glory. The video (which can be seen below) sheds light on quite a few things about the latest fighter joining the game’s roster.
Abilities and Super
Firstly, the Enchantress primarily uses ranged, magical attacks. The reveal trailer brilliantly exhibits her various attacks which range from teleportation, hypnosis, suspending enemies mid air, to freezing them in ice blocks and summoning various beings from other realms in order to defeat her enemies.
However, probably the coolest attack that was previewed in the announcement trailer was her Super attack in which she literally tears the enemy’s soul from their body and beats them with it. You can watch the awesome moment at the 1:15 mark in the video.
The Enchatress will be the 37th character in the game’s roster and will be available for all players who own the Ultimate Pack, Fighter Pack 3 or the Ultimate edition of the game starting January 9th 2018. All other players will be able to purchase her starting 16th January 2018 for $6.
Injustice 2 is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
