The Hum: Abductions is an upcoming first person indie horror sci fi game that is currently in its early stages of development. The game is being developed by Totwise Studios that is led by Ariel Arias who has been largely responsible for all the development of the game. The game is being developed on the Unreal Engine 4 and gained popularity amongst the gaming community for being a rather unique game in terms being extremely story oriented and also for being highlighted on the Steam Greenlight list of games that the community has shown interest in.
The game follows Holly Sanders; a single mother who is going through a rough patch after her husband vanished in a mysterious manner. The game’s trailer shows Holly looking over her son Dan while he sleeps. Things start getting eerie when her baby is abducted by aliens who vanish with Dan.
Abductions has shown great potential towards being a successful VR title and the fact that the developers have confirmed that the game will be releasing for all major VR platforms like Occulus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR is enough for one to realize that the developers are trying to make the best of the game’s massive prospect in the VR environment.
The Hum: Abductions will be part of a vast planned universe that is being created by Ariel Arias. The game itself is supposed to serve as a prequel to another title which will be called The Hum: Alien Invasion. The universe, which is aptly called The Hum Universe, features numerous novels, comic books, and other video games although none of the other things except for a few trailers have been seen yet.
The Hum: Abductions will be released for the PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One but the release date has not been announced yet since the game is still in its alpha stages.
