There are so many great games that have come out in 2017 for PS4 so far. Some blew us away with their incredible storyline while some with their breathtaking graphics. But to stand out from the rest, a game must have everything from the storyline to the graphics and the gameplay.
So here we have compiled a list of such few games that are a must buy if you have a PS4.
1) Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
We start off with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy which is an action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Released in August 2017 for the PlayStation 4, it is a standalone expansion to the Uncharted series and is the first game not to feature series protagonist Nathan Drake. Instead, we have a new protagonist in hunter Chloe Frazer, who seeks the Tusk of Ganesh in the mountains of India in the midst of a civil war, with the help of ex-mercenary Nadine Rossand Nathan’s brother Sam Drake. The game is played from a third-person perspective, with platform game elements. Players can use firearms, melee combat, and stealth to defend against the hostile enemies. Players traverse several environments, moving through locations including towns, buildings, and temples and also drive vehicles to advance through the game’s story.
2) Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
Next, we have Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, a cinematic psychological horror action-adventure video game developed and published by Ninja Theory for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. The game developer describes the game as an “independent AAA”. The story is about a Pict based on Celtic mythology and Norse mythology. The game is focused on Senua’s (Melina Juergens) point of view, as she embarks on a very personal journey through a hellish underworld made up of Senua’s psychotic manifestations of her reality and mind.
3) Horizon Zero Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing video game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 and released in early 2017. The story follows the journey of Aloy, a hunter, and archer living in a world overrun by robots. Aloy has been an outcast her whole life who now sets out to discover the dangers that kept her sheltered. The character uses ranged weapons and a spear and stealth tactics to combat the mechanized creatures, whose remains can be looted for resources. A skill tree provides the player with new abilities and passive bonuses. The game is set in an open world environment for Aloy to explore, divided into tribes that hold side quests to undertake, while the main story guides her across the entire map.
4) Injustice 2
Injustice 2 is a fighting video game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel to 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us. Injustice 2 introduces us to a new feature called the Gear System, a loot-dropping system that rewards players with costume pieces and equipment which can be later used to strengthen and customize your character. Injustice 2′s storyline centers around Batman and his insurgency’s attempt to restore society after the fall of Superman’s regime; however, the arrivals of the newly formed supervillain group “The Society” and the alien Brainiac forces Batman to consider freeing the imprisoned Superman to help combat the threats.
5) Resident Evil 7
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom. The game was released worldwide in January 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 – with support for the PlayStation VR headset – and Xbox One. The story follows civilian Ethan Winters as he searches for his wife Mia, which leads him to an abandoned homestead inhabited by the Baker family. Players must make use of weapons and tools in the fight against the Baker family and the “Molded”, a humanoid form of bacteria. Healing items are used in the event of injury and there are puzzles that may be solved to further the story.
