A few weeks ago, It was announced that the mysterious One Piece game that was being kept hidden by Bandai Namco was titled One Piece: World Seek. Now, they have released some more details about the game, including the fact that the game will be released in 2018 for platforms PlayStation4, Xbox one & PC. In Japan, the game is only being released for PlayStation4. The date of the release is not yet revealed. It was also announced that the game will be an open world action-adventure game that lets the players explore a new world. To date one of the most successful and long running anime/manga franchises is One Piece. When it comes to World Seeker, it is described as “the most ambitious One Piece game ever”.
The game celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2017 for the original, One Piece manga. For the plotline of the game World Seek, It is as the players would expect it to be. The protagonist will be the character of One Piece, “Straw Hat” Luffy. Luffy is the recognizable and iconic character from the anime and manga. In comparison to One Piece and its gameplay, this game will have different styles of expanding the exploration option for the world. The open-world game basically gives the control of Luffy to the players. Luffy and the gang will explore the world and face the challenges in the diverse and vast world. In World Seeker, players can experience and participate in an “expansive and seamless world” that are filled with beaches, castles, cities and many more “exciting and diverse” locations according to the press release.
