A new Pharah skin is being added to Overwatch next week alongside the anticipated Blizzard World map.
Blizzard revealed the new skin in a tweet posted to the official Overwatch Twitter account. The shiny, gold legendary skin draws inspiration from Pharah’s Egyptian heritage. It’s called Asp Pharah which is a reference to the Egyptian cobra, often used as a sign of royalty. This will be Pharah’s first legendary skin since the Anniversary event, where she received the blue Bedouin skin.

It looks like the new legendary skin had been teased earlier this week when Blizzard posted a video revealing new Overwatch sprays. In the video, it was spotted that four heroes sported skins that don’t exist—yet. Pharah’s golden look was one of them. That means D.Va, Hanzo, and Lúcio could all be receiving new legendary skins, too.
It was yesterday’s announcement when first got our first sneak peek of the new sprays coming to the game.

You can see Pharah’s new skin down in the bottom right, where she’s adorably prancing in her new regalia. It is also interesting to note that all other unusual sprays for existing characters, like D.Va’s cat ears and pigtails, may hint towards the legendary skins that can be expected in the future.
The new legendary skins, along with other new cosmetics, will be implemented in the upcoming January 23 patch, which will also introduce Blizzard World to the live servers.
