Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry.
The game is designed around the idea of “being thrown into the world”. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, players explore the different interconnected regions in this unsettling environment.
Every location contains its own theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game, you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.
The game’s Steam page suggests that Scorn will take place in an open-ended world with different interconnected regions. The game has various regions all of which is a maze-like structure with various rooms and paths to discover. The game has no cut-scenes which will help you keep up with everything happening in-game and not get distracted. The game is fast passed and you need to look out for anything that can kill you. It is also said that everything in the game has a reason and purpose – you just need to work out what it is.
The game is said to give you more immersive experience with players being fully aware of their character’s body and movement. Players will have their work cut out when every bluet they shoot will matter. This is because the game will allow for limited ammunition which means players will have to think about when to fight and when to take cover.
The game will be split into two parts the first part releasing sometime in 2018.
