Ubisoft announced in a post launch roadmap post for the Assassin’s Creed: Origins game that they will be releasing a series of DLC expansions for the game over the course of time. An all season pass was also detailed, for players who want to get their hands on all the new DLC’s when they arrive without paying an additional purchase fee.
The first DLC pack that was announced will be a story driven expansion and will be called “The Hidden Ones”. It will follow on the creation of the Brotherhood of Assassin’s and will see the brotherhood’s first major clash against the Roman Empire. The Hidden Ones is expected to go on sale starting January 2018.
The second DLC will be called Curse of the Pharaohs. It’s another story-based piece of DLC for the game that sees Bayek fighting undead pharaohs in a mystical Egyptian realm. Ubisoft is taking an opportunity to showcase some of the more creative elements of the game, with Bayek fighting giant scorpions, Anubis warriors, and other mythological creatures. This DLC pack will also raise Bayek’s level cap and will be made available in March, 2018 for home consoles and PC.
The season pass will be bundled into the gold edition of the game or can be picked up for $40.
Ubisoft will also release free DLC throughout the early months of the game. This will include a challenge pack called The Trials of the Gods, where Bayek will have to fight against a series of Egyptian gods. This challenge pack is expected to come out in November.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins and the season pass will be available for purchase on October 27th.
