What is Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2 about?
Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodline 2, a sequel to the 2004 video game Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines developed by Hardsuit Labs and Published by Paradox Interactive is set for release in the early months of 2020.
The game will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This game is a massive action RPG set in White Wolf Publishing’s world of darkness. So the game is based on White Wolf’s tabletop role-playing game called a Vampire the Masquerade. The 2004 game Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines was something of a cult classic with IGN naming it the best PC RPG in that year.
This game is also famous for its incredible narrative, and it’s a wide range of choices. The game is an FPS (first-person shooter) game, but in between, it alters to the third person view for specific actions during the gameplay.
Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2 Gameplay
Unlike the first game, which was set in Los Angelos, the story of Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2 follows a human in the 21st century Seattle, who is killed and revived as a thin blood vampire with weak abilities and power.
The world setting and the laws of the game are exciting and so different than any other games where the players have a lot to explore and have a massive range of choices. The game depicts a world in which vampires, werewolves, demons, and other creatures together shape human history. A code bounds the vampires in order to maintain their secrecy, which is known as the masquerade, by refraining from using their vampiric abilities in front of humans and engaging in unnecessary and unwanted killings.
There are severe punishments in breaking the laws, including banishments and embracing, which is the turning of humans to vampires is strictly forbidden without the permission of the leading clan and is punishable by death. The game is centered around something called reactive storytelling, written by Brian Mitsoda, the creative mind behind the original bloodlines.

The game reacts to every choice that the player makes, resulting in different paths and outcomes. It is a massive RPG with abundant law dialogue choices and branching storylines and authentic decisions and consequences. Till now, we know that the game will offer a primary story campaign that will length up to 30 hours and will also have side missions. The missions can be discovered through explorations and using the mobile phone to communicate and gather information leading to other missions. This game is based on the choices of players, so the missions and objectives can be completed in any number of ways the players want.
The enemies can be dealt violently with melee or ranged weapons or using the abilities or avoid combat through stealth or can even seduce characters and make our ways through the missions.
Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2 Plot
There are six clans of that world out of which we can choose to ally with or avoid or make our enemy. So let’s get to know more about the clans that we will be facing in the game. Firstly we have the thin-bloods, and this is where we start, and these are the modern and the weaker group of vampires who are typically shunned and are treated as less powerful than the full blood vampires.

Unlike the full-bloods, thin-bloods can consume human foods in a limited amount and are more resistant to sunlight. Next comes the Toreadors, these are closest to humanity and with a passion for culture. They influence the elites, and the Toreadors have been well entrenched within Seattle’s power structures since it’s days as a pioneer settlement. They are obsessed with beauty in all forms and are incredibly charismatic.
So these vampires that are very good at manipulating people and seducing people to conform to their will. We then have the Ventures, who are the noble and powerful leaders. They have actually entrenched themselves in the business of the 21st century. Generally, they run billion-dollar corporations that shape the local and global landscape.
They are incredibly powerful and rich with their lineage and loyalty held at high esteem. We then have the Brujah, who are idealists that excels in fighting, and they tend to be unaffiliated and generally gather at something called a bash, which means a Fight Club for the undead. They tend to hire themselves as muscles, for anyone who can afford them. Then comes the Malkavians, who are cursed with insanity or blessed with insight. They are traditionally ostracized and nicknamed as lunatics, jesters, visionaries, and madmen, and also some call them the Oracles.
Then comes the Tremere, who are considered to be secretive and untrustworthy and wield blood. In their past, they were cultists seeking immortality and have actually found a way to live forever but with a heavy price and were cursed, which close their interactions with other clans who mistrust them. These clans are loosely united by their opposition to something called the Sabbat.
The law in the world is incredibly complex as there are a number of clans, different factions that we can choose to side with.
Skills and Abilities in Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2

In the beginning, the players have the option to create a vampire character, and one can also select the character background which informs who they were as human. Whether a barrister, police officer, career criminal are just some of the choices available with each offering different dialogue and interaction options.
After the character is created, the player then has to assign their character with one of the three thin blood disciplines and upgradeable powers before joining one of the full-blood clans and then gaining additional two abilities.

Some of the vampiric powers that the players can assign to their characters at the start are Chiropteran (ability to glide and summon bats), Mentalism (the ability to levitate objects and people) and the third power Nebulation (ability to summon mist to attack, conceal or transform the character into the mist to move through small spaces).
