Witcher 3: Wild Hunt plot
Set in the backdrop of the picturesque medieval world, Witcher 3 stands out from all its previous versions. The game brings in incredible RPG Action, with an absorbing period drama’s storyline and the joy of open-world gaming, maybe yet another one like Far Cry 4, and still better than that.
The game is set against the backdrop of a Kingdom named Nilfgaard, a southern kingdom among all others, which has brazenly instilled havoc and is steamrolling its wings northwards. Killing anyone coming in its path and conquering all other kingdoms. The story unfolds on Geralt of Rivia, who is a skilled warrior, swordman and a beastly monster killer namely a ‘Witcher’. Geralt is infamous for killing monsters for which he always takes a considerable amount as payment is now entrusted with the task of tracking down a young girl named Ciri. Ciri is the daughter of the Emperor and his only heir. Geralt is aided by his long lost lover and sorceress, Yeneffer. The story moves from the lush greenery and picturesque sceneries to the dark and deadly forests and into the nests of blood-sucking monsters, where Geralt is seen killing and dodging every single quest thrown at him. Things become more complicated when it is known that an attack squad name Wild Hunt is also pursuing to find Ciri, who little knows about her super and celestial cosmic powers of which Wild Hunt is after.
The story since setting against various emotional tones be it anguish, monotony, fear and most of all mystery. Witcher 3 keeps the player personified in its suspense with its perfectly laid dialogues, uniquely designed architecture and its awes-trucking storyline.
Geralt being just another Witcher, with immense fighting and combat skills is still shown as an ordinary man who is entrusted with day to day odd jobs like cleaning a garden of a bystander to acquire information, or to fix a wagon of a farmer to get another herb for his potion, so the game beautifully has shown an ordinary man making difference in the lives of humanity along with taking on Quests to kill monsters.(A of monsters).
Characters in Witcher 3:Wild hunt
Witcher 3 is a very keenly designed game in itself, with an open-ended world to roam, yet every activity linked to the very task of finding Ciri and saving her from the clutches of Wild Hunt and in a greater way saving humanity. The main characters of this game are Yenefer, Ciri, and Geralt having their own special powers to cope with the evils of the world.
Yennefer who is a sorceress and an exceptional beauty taking the attention of every single one in the game, sides with her long lost companion and her lover, Geralt in order to save Ciri from Wild Hunt, she possess in the game exceptional magical powers and a brain full of knowledge about potions, medicines, and various gadgets through which she assists Geralt, she can be termed a living example of a lethal beauty with brains.
Ciri also a Witcher, on the other hand, is the daughter of Emperor and also a childhood student of Geralt who had trained her in every prospect and thus besides her little known cosmic powers, she is a highly trained Witcher, an exceptional monster-killing beauty and also a treat to the eyes of every beholder with her ashen hairs and a perfectly laid scar on her cheek.
The Quests in the game come with different opportunities to know the story where Geralt will have to make different life choices which can or cannot eventually affect the further progress of the game and its characters, the game begins with a quest to find Hendrik, an imperial agent who had been working on Ciri’s case, where Geralt had to take information about Ciri but faced with the riders of Wild Hunt. The game’s quests not only offers action-packed battles between the monsters and the enemies but also involves great work of mind and logic in making choices, the ever so loyal friend of Geralt and his loyal ride Roach, his horse also plays various vital roles in the game, from ramming himself in combats to being just a whistle away Roach is seen as both his ride throughout the game and one of his battle companions. The side quests interests depends on individual to individual, it can range from taking the plight of waygoing swordsmith who has lost all his money and trade goods by gangsters or killing some monster for some wealthy businessman, each step including side and the main questline brings Geralt closer to Ciri and offers various new complications in his life.
Combat and Weapons
The Combat in Witcher 3 is most intriguing, where a combination of Silver and Steel swords can always be used to listen to the soothing sword clinging or one can prefer the rustle of an arrow from his crossbow. Witcher 3 offers different weapons like the beastly combat axe, to the head wringing chained maces, the combat becomes more and more absorbing. The combination of fast and strong attacks combined makes the combat deadly and parry blows easily absorbing the damage inflicted in the combat. There is one another type of combat that can be done on the horseback of Roach, which although it creates more chances to be hit by an arrow or a mace bit inflicts 50 percent more damage with the roach’s head clinging speed and his combat maneuver.
Overall Witcher 3 has all the qualities to become the next top open-ended, RPG game, with its well-established architecture of things and carefully placed foliage, villages, characters, buildings and dialogues what else one desires is just the game with him, the graphics and gameplay is very smooth with the makers giving attention to every minute detail, what remains to be seen is the fixation of the loading time in maps, occasionally altered frame rate and the slow loading of the fast travel feature, besides these things which can be easily ignored, it has all ingredients to become the next match for gamers.
